Country Pathway · PR Track

Study in Canada from India — the PR-pathway play.

PGWP up to 3 years. Express Entry CRS scoring. Strong Indian community. Best long-term immigration outcome of any developed country. Personally reviewed by Dr Chathyushya K B, PhD.

Why Canada — and when it makes sense

Canada is the cleanest student-to-PR pathway in the world. PGWP gives you up to 3 years of work after a Master's — enough Canadian work experience to qualify for Express Entry CRS scoring and apply for permanent residence. For families whose long-term goal is settling abroad with their children, Canada is mathematically the most efficient path. Caveats: 2024 visa policy tightened, GIC requirement increased, accommodation in Toronto/Vancouver is competitive.

Honest FAQ

Has Canada become tough for Indians?

2024 capped study permits and tightened off-campus work hours. The pathway still works for serious students but margin for error is smaller. Disciplined documentation is critical.

How long does PR take in total?

2 years study + 1-3 years PGWP work + 6-12 months Express Entry processing = 4-6 years from arrival to PR. Cleaner than UK or USA equivalents.

Do I need GIC?

For SDS (Student Direct Stream) yes — and SDS is the fastest visa path for Indians. We coordinate GIC at participating banks (HDFC, ICICI, SBI Canada, CIBC).
